Pastor Murray was born and raised in London, Ontario. He moved to Tillsonburg in the spring of 2014. Murray began his ministry at The Church of Living Water in the fall of 2023—at first only preaching on Sunday mornings, but he stepped into the lead pastor role just before Christmas 2023.

Education and experience

Murray served on and chaired the elder’s board at Tillsonburg Alliance Church during the time he pursued his theological training. He began his ministry training with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, earning his Certificate of Christian Studies through the Pathways program. He then went on to earn his Master of Divinity degree at McMaster Divinity College in the spring of 2023.

Personal life

Murray and his wife Devon have two sons and a daughter. Murray loves to cook and is quite fond of outdoor activities, especially camping and hiking. Murray also has a fondness for water, whether that be swimming, canoeing or kayaking.

Murray:

“Although I came to know Jesus quite later in my life, when I did meet him I felt called to ministry right away. The way God works in, with and through us never ceases to amaze me. Being at The Church of Living Water is an affirmation to God’s calling on my life. This is an amazing church and I have the utmost confidence that I am exactly where God wants me to be at the moment. “
